Johnson Electric 887 18V Brushed Motor

from $45.00

This is an 887 size brushed motor manufactured by Johnson Electronics. This motor has been tested with the Peanut Workshop motor controllers using various battery voltages, they have been the most reliable motor when used within their rating of 18V.

These motors have demonstrated exceptional power and longevity up to 8S LiFePo4 (24 - 28VDC), exceeding this voltage range (even with limiting the PWM output %) will result in excessive heat with limited power increase causing premature failure. We recommend keeping the battery voltage below 30VDC to protect the brushes.

***Note, if using these instead of a 775 motor, an adapter is required, 775 motors mounting hardware uses M4 screws with a 29mm center to center spacing, 887 motors use M5 screws with a 32mm center to center spacing.

At Peanut Workshop we have extensively tested high performance brushed motors, we have found these motors to have exceptional performance. We have decided to offer them for sale as they can be difficult to find. We are not providing any kind of warranty on these motors, if there is an issue please contact us prior to use. We do not manufacture them and have no control over the quality of the motor. These are not priced to cover replacement of failed motors.

To install in a power wheels 7R gearbox, an adapter is required, we offer a 3D printed adapter and hardware to install these into a 7R gearbox. This adapter should be considered a single use item, they often have to be damaged to remove the pinion gear from the motor while replacing motors.
