The apex predator has escaped the workshop.
Meet the Feral Squirrel - Peanut Workshop’s most aggressive brushed motor controller yet.
Built for the nutcases who looked at a Speedy Squirrel and said, “Yeah… but what if we fed it more volts?”
Designed specifically for high-power multi-motor Power Wheels and ride-on builds, the Feral Squirrel is engineered to drive multiple 550, 775, 887, 895, and 997 brushed DC motors in parallel without flinching.
A brutally capable single-channel brushed motor driver supporting:
12-85vdc input
Up to 72V 20S lithium-ion battery packs
100a continuous output
200a burst current (2 seconds)
350A short-circuit protection
Tested at up to 8KW on a 72V lithium setup.
This squirrel doesn’t just climb trees — it launches out of them.
The Feral Squirrel brings modern tuning and diagnostics to the brushed world through its built-in Wi-Fi access point, allowing wireless configuration, monitoring, and diagnostics directly from your phone or device. No hunting for cables. No cracking open the enclosure. Just connect and tune.
Wireless tuning. real control.
Driver Control
Performance
Need custom controls? The Feral Squirrel includes four configurable smart inputs that can be activated through B- or any voltage from 12V–85V, making integration into advanced builds incredibly flexible.
hardware support includes:
12V 8A accessory output
RC receiver input for hobby-grade 3.3V remote systems
Two general-purpose outputs
Dedicated +12V fan output
PWM-controlled fan output based on controller temperature
Translation?
We fed the squirrel more volts. This is the result.
It’s designed for the builders who smell burning rubber and think, “Needs more voltage.”
The ones always finding room for one more battery and one more motor.
The ones pushing brushed performance to the next level.
The Feral Squirrel is not a toy-grade controller pretending to be performance hardware.
